Booking Terms & Conditions
Before you book one of our tours, please have a look at our Tanzania Safari booking conditions here below, to have a clear picture of the terms of booking with Kilimanjaro Touren. Please note that the booking conditions may change time to time and may vary from one tour to another depending on the terms that are set by partner service providers like airlines, and accommodation properties as well as the government regulations.
Bookings
All confirmations of bookings shall be made by email and upon the filling of our booking form.
All Bookings will be considered and recognized as confirmed only after the booking is accompanied by a 30% to 50% deposit of the total cost of tour (depending on length of tour & length of booking notice). The deposit shall be considered valid after acknowledgement and confirmation of receipt by our Bank in Tanzania.
50% or 70% balance of the total invoice shall be / must be paid at least 14 days before the arrival of the tour participants. Cash payment of the balance can be negotiated by our sales staff and the clients. In this case, full payment shall be done in US Dollars only. USD dollars notes should be manufactured not earlier than the year 2006. Older notes are not accepted in Tanzania, so Kilimanjaro Touren does not take them either.
Cancellation and Refunds
All tours and or service cancellations must be in writing either by email or by fax and shall be effective only after receipt and acknowledgement by writing by a Kilimanjaro Touren Sales Staff.
Cancellations done between;
- More than 60 Days before arrival: Full Credit Note issued for future travel.
- 60 Days and 45 Days before arrival: 50% of the tour cost shall be charged.
- 44 Days and 31 Days before arrival: 60% of the tour cost shall charged.
- 30 Days and Arrival day: 100% of the tour cost shall be charged.
There shall be no refunds for the below:
- Any travel time lost or any kind of substitution of services
- Itineraries and travel programs amended after their departure.
- Any arise of circumstances that shall be beyond the company’s control, and that shall require some alternative measures and arrangements with the sole purpose to ensure the further participation and completion of your tour.
- Lack of show up by travellers at any accommodation property, activity or service or segment of the tour with no notice in prior.
- Premature termination of your tour after commencement of the tour activities.
Payment
Since payments are done mostly in US Dollars in the lodges, flights and Park entry fees. All our bills shall be in US Dollars. Payments shall be done by money transfer to our account in Tanzania.
Access
Kilimanjaro Touren shall never be held responsible for any unforeseen condition of the road, or airstrip that may render your tour impossible or delayed. Any changes to the tour shall be subject o the terms and conditions above.
Amendments
Any amendments done on a confirmed tour shall not be charged. Kilimanjaro Touren shall however charge any charges that will be above the cost of the earlier booked services. ( Price Supplements).
Risk
This Company, management and staff, the owners and directors shall never be held responsible for any occurrence of injury, illness and or death to any person on tour, nor for damage or for loss of personal property. Please contact your Insurance service provider before travelling if you find it necessary.
Terms and Conditions
These are the general terms and conditions that will govern the relationship between you and the company; Kilimanjaro Touren. There shall be no alterations to these terms and conditions that may be done by the sales staff of the company, representative or any other employees unless it is done in writing by an authorized officer of the Company. Kilimanjaro Touren reserves the rights to subcontract part or the whole service offered and paid for.
Disputes
In case of the unlikely circumstances and or causes of any complaints while on tour it must be brought into attention of the company immediately. The company will do its best to resolve the situation promptly.
Kilimanjaro Touren reserves the right to change, update or modify the above Booking Terms and Conditions.

Joo mar2020-01-16VerifiedUnforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience Kili Touren created a wonderful experience for me and my friends! We embarked on our journey from Moshi and stayed at a hotel prior to beginning the climb the next day. During this time Hans and his team made sure we were fully prepared and had the gear required to be safe and comfortable throughout our trip. For those that did not have everything, they took us to a shop so that we could rent anything we needed. We took the Rongai route and made it in 5 days. The first three days weren't too difficult, and the guides with us were very knowledgable on the right pace we should be taking to make sure we could acclimate to the elevation. Each night we had a delicious meal that typically involved 2-3 courses, and there was water readily available when we needed it! The summit day was pretty difficult, mostly in part to the fact that our trip required us to do additional hiking after making it to Uhuru Peak. For other considering the climb, I would recommend 6 days if you have the budget. This trip was an unbelievable experience and I would like to thank Hans and his entire team for helping ensure all of us made it up and down safely, while also making it fun! I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Touren to anyone considering hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro, or any other activity in Tanzania!

When one of our crew members was struck with altitude sickness the guides were right there to make sure he got down safely. We all enjoyed their company and comradeship on the hike. Richard R2018-11-03VerifiedAmazing Kilimanjaro Adventure Climbing mount Kilimanjaro is was an amazing bonding opportunity for me, my family and friends. A group of eight of us were led by Hans and the Kilimanjaro Touren team to the summit on the Rongai route and descend using the Marangu route in 5 days. Prior the start of the climb we stayed in Marangu, which is where Hans and many of the crew live or have family. They did a gear check and made sure we were all fully prepared for our journey. We were concerned that trying to complete the climb in 5 would result in some being unable to make it to the summit because we had heard success rates for 5 day climbs are lower because of acclimatization issues. We decided to make the climb in 5 days however because of our budge. Despite a snow storm the night of our final ascent our entire team (including my 62 year old father) made it to the top and back down safely. The team of guides proved to be experienced and made us feel safe while pushing through the harsh weather conditions above 5,000 meters. It is an experience that I will cherish forever and am grateful for the help of Kilimanjaro Touren.
