Obtaining Visa in Advance

If you wish to obtain a visa in advance, you will need to submit your application form at the nearest Tanzania Embassy, High Commission or a Consulate. You are recommended to apply for the visa 3 months prior to travel dates. Tanzania now issues visas for dates of travel and for the declared time of stay, so your application must show the exact dates, which match your air tickets.

Nationals of certain countries can also obtain Tanzania visa upon arrival in Tanzania. You can get your visa in any of Tanzania’s port of entry including international airports upon landing. You are advised to get the visa application form from your flight cabin crew and fill it a few hours before landing.  Kindly be informed the queue to obtain visa is mostly long at the airport.
