Overview
This 8-day tour takes you to the famous northern circuit parks. You spend 4 days in the Serengeti, the largest and recognized for the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras. Then, the tour goes to Tarangire National Park, smaller than the Serengeti but famous for its large elephant herds. Finally, the tour goes to the Ngorongoro Crater, an absolute highlight, with beautiful landscapes and easy game viewing. The tour ends with a short hike to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

We will pick you up from the airport and then transfer you to the hotel with an optional tour of Arusha city. This short city tour will introduce you to Tanzania and prepare for your trip the next day. In the evening, we will brief you on the activities of the rest of the tour.
Overnight: Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa
We will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00am, and take the 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and boasts the country’s most significant number of elephants! You will encounter these giants up close and observe the interaction between elephant families. We will follow reported animal sightings as we do a game drive. There are plenty of herbivores like giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. The predators (lions, cheetahs, and leopards) are more difficult to spot. Later, we will go to the river picnic site and enjoy the beautiful river view and animals while having lunch. Keep an eye out for small monkeys and baboons that will try to scare you and take your lunch! They are, however, nothing to worry about. After lunch, we will proceed with the game drive before we exit the park around 5:30pm and head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge
After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti for about 6 hours (including all stops), passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will briefly stop at the gate and view the breathtaking crater for about 20 minutes. There is an optional visit to a Masai Village to learn about the daily life of the Masai people (an additional US$10 to US$20). Serengeti National Park Arrive late afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (center of Serengeti). At the same time, we proceeded to do a game drive to late evening and experience the sunset in Serengeti while having a close view of the wild animals. We might be lucky and see a predator hunt! Finally, we will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight
Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge
Today, we explore the broader parts of the Serengeti as we travel northwest, and we follow the wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, we depart on a morning game drive carrying a picnic lunch. The game drive will focus on the Mara River and hopefully see herds of the migration animals as they cross the river. We continue our game drive until the evening, when we return to your Camp for dinner and overnight stay. Animals can be spotted at the camp.
Overnight: Heritage Mara Camp
Today, we travel west and return to the Mara River. Here, we will see formations of wildebeest as they gather and prepare to cross the Mara River. Hopefully, we will see the start of the migration!
After an early breakfast, we will depart for the game drive, have lunch, and continue the game drive until the evening. Finally, we will return to your Camp.
Overnight: Heritage Mara Camp
After an early breakfast, we will go on a game drive south of Serengeti toward Seronera. Eventually, we will exit the Serengeti in the late afternoon, heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge
After an early breakfast, we will descend into the crater at 6:15am. The journey aims to find the black rhino. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in this beautiful crater. However, most animals will be easier to spot on the crater floor. After lunch, we will do a game drive, ascend the crater, and drive to your hotel in Arusha.
Overnight: Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa
After breakfast, we will go to the Materuni Waterfalls, where you will do a short hike for about 2 hours. The vegetation, surreal views, and waterfalls are an incredible sight. From here, we proceed to a local coffee processing farm, where we will have lunch before departing for the airport.

We embarked on our journey from Moshi and stayed at a hotel prior to beginning the climb the next day. During this time Hans and his team made sure we were fully prepared and had the gear required to be safe and comfortable throughout our trip. For those that did not have everything, they took us to a shop so that we could rent anything we needed. We took the Rongai route and made it in 5 days. The first three days weren't too difficult, and the guides with us were very knowledgable on the right pace we should be taking to make sure we could acclimate to the elevation. Each night we had a delicious meal that typically involved 2-3 courses, and there was water readily available when we needed it! The summit day was pretty difficult, mostly in part to the fact that our trip required us to do additional hiking after making it to Uhuru Peak. For other considering the climb, I would recommend 6 days if you have the budget. This trip was an unbelievable experience and I would like to thank Hans and his entire team for helping ensure all of us made it up and down safely, while also making it fun! I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Touren to anyone considering hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro, or any other activity in Tanzania!Stevey T2018-11-06VerifiedWestern New York & Boston Meets the in country Peace Corps Hans and company were great! The guides and the barriers were some of the hardest working people on the planet. When one of our crew members was struck with altitude sickness the guides were right there to make sure he got down safely. We all enjoyed their company and comradeship on the hike. I can strongly recommend KILIMANJARO Turen for your next hike up the mountain.Richard R2018-11-03VerifiedAmazing Kilimanjaro Adventure Climbing mount Kilimanjaro is was an amazing bonding opportunity for me, my family and friends. A group of eight of us were led by Hans and the Kilimanjaro Touren team to the summit on the Rongai route and descend using the Marangu route in 5 days. Prior the start of the climb we stayed in Marangu, which is where Hans and many of the crew live or have family. They did a gear check and made sure we were all fully prepared for our journey. We were concerned that trying to complete the climb in 5 would result in some being unable to make it to the summit because we had heard success rates for 5 day climbs are lower because of acclimatization issues. We decided to make the climb in 5 days however because of our budge. Despite a snow storm the night of our final ascent our entire team (including my 62 year old father) made it to the top and back down safely. The team of guides proved to be experienced and made us feel safe while pushing through the harsh weather conditions above 5,000 meters. It is an experience that I will cherish forever and am grateful for the help of Kilimanjaro Touren.Brian R2018-11-01
