+ 6 Days Serengeti Scenic Safari

Overview

Come to experience the adventure and enjoy the beauty of wildlife. During this trip, you will completely immerse yourself in breathtaking nature as well as explore animals and their habitats. Playing game drives in national parks, taking part in the crater tour, and camping in airy space will become part of your wonderful memories through this holiday. Join us, and you will know why this tour is worth it.

Embarking from Arusha, our safari will commence as your designated guide retrieves you from your prearranged hotel. From there, we will venture towards Tarangire National Park, engaging in an enthralling game drive. Subsequently, your guide will identify the ideal location within the park, where you will indulge in a delightful picnic lunch. Concluding the game drive, we will then make our way to Karatu for a delectable dinner and a restful overnight stay. Tarangire National Park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which is the sole source of water for the wildlife during the dry season. The park is renowned for its abundant population of elephants, striking baobab trees, and African pythons that climb trees.

Overnight: Eileen’s Trees Inn Lodge

After an early breakfast, depart towards the most famous National park in the World, the Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, “endless plains”. The park has 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the great migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. As for big cats and large predators, it’s the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous River Crossings having been filmed in this park.

Overnight: Serengeti Safari Lodge

After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, get ready for an exciting day of game drives through the vast and rolling plains of Serengeti National Park. The goal is to witness the incredible interactions between majestic predators and the graceful herbivores they rely on for sustenance. As the day progresses, we will make our way to the carefully arranged accommodation nestled within this remarkable national park. The word “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai language and means “endless plains.” These expansive grasslands are home to many predators, such as over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! There are also numerous other magnificent animals that inhabit these plains, and your knowledgeable guide will be excited to search for them with you.

Overnight: Serengeti Safari Lodge

On this day, we suggest a very early wake-up call in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. After the game drive, we’ll return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Wild Camp

Enjoy a beautiful short journey across the Great Rift Valley until Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive. Although small in dimension (205sq miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and is well famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described in words. The game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake (and its flamingos) in the background.

Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience Kili Touren created a wonderful experience for me and my friends! We embarked on our journey from Moshi and stayed at a hotel prior to beginning the climb the next day. During this time Hans and his team made sure we were fully prepared and had the gear required to be safe and comfortable throughout our trip. For those that did not have everything, they took us to a shop so that we could rent anything we needed. We took the Rongai route and made it in 5 days. The first three days weren't too difficult, and the guides with us were very knowledgable on the right pace we should be taking to make sure we could acclimate to the elevation. Each night we had a delicious meal that typically involved 2-3 courses, and there was water readily available when we needed it! The summit day was pretty difficult, mostly in part to the fact that our trip required us to do additional hiking after making it to Uhuru Peak. For other considering the climb, I would recommend 6 days if you have the budget. This trip was an unbelievable experience and I would like to thank Hans and his entire team for helping ensure all of us made it up and down safely, while also making it fun! I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Touren to anyone considering hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro, or any other activity in Tanzania!

Western New York & Boston Meets the in country Peace Corps Hans and company were great! The guides and the barriers were some of the hardest working people on the planet. When one of our crew members was struck with altitude sickness the guides were right there to make sure he got down safely. We all enjoyed their company and comradeship on the hike. I can strongly recommend KILIMANJARO Turen for your next hike up the mountain.

Amazing Kilimanjaro Adventure Climbing mount Kilimanjaro is was an amazing bonding opportunity for me, my family and friends. A group of eight of us were led by Hans and the Kilimanjaro Touren team to the summit on the Rongai route and descend using the Marangu route in 5 days. Prior the start of the climb we stayed in Marangu, which is where Hans and many of the crew live or have family. They did a gear check and made sure we were all fully prepared for our journey. We were concerned that trying to complete the climb in 5 would result in some being unable to make it to the summit because we had heard success rates for 5 day climbs are lower because of acclimatization issues. We decided to make the climb in 5 days however because of our budge. Despite a snow storm the night of our final ascent our entire team (including my 62 year old father) made it to the top and back down safely. The team of guides proved to be experienced and made us feel safe while pushing through the harsh weather conditions above 5,000 meters. It is an experience that I will cherish forever and am grateful for the help of Kilimanjaro Touren.
